Your account may not be used to send spam, phishing, malware, or content that sexualizes minors. Violations may result in your account's sending and receiving being disabled immediately, without notice, but we do not delete accounts as an enforcement measure.
You must be at least 16, or the age of digital consent where you live if lower (never below 13). We perform no identity or age verification, so creating an account is your representation that you meet this.
Email is provided free, as-is, with a default storage quota. We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service.
Pro is a prepaid, non-recurring subscription bought with cryptocurrency through Heleket: paying for a term adds that much time to your account, nothing auto-renews, and crypto payments are generally non-refundable once confirmed (a processor-initiated refund for a failed/erroneous transaction is handled case by case). When Pro time runs out, your account reverts to the Free plan's quota and limits; existing mail isn't deleted, but you may need to free up space to receive new mail if you're then over quota.
Neir never requires identity verification: no legal name, government ID, selfie, phone number, date of birth or recovery email to create or use a mailbox. Creating an account does require a short, automatic proof-of-work check in your browser to limit bulk signups. It doesn't use a CAPTCHA or fingerprinting, doesn't identify you, and isn't varied by your IP, VPN or Tor status; you may not bypass or automate around it. No-KYC doesn't make internet email anonymous or zero-access, though: our Privacy Policy and How Neir works describe the metadata, logs and standards-compatible mailbox copies that ordinary SMTP/IMAP mail involves.
There's no password here. Your Account Key is the only way in, and a 12-word recovery phrase (shown once, at signup) is its only backup, so you're solely responsible for storing both. We hold only one-way hashes of each, never the originals, so if you lose both, there is nothing on our end to reset.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings; this is immediate and irreversible. We will not terminate or delete an account for a Terms violation; instead we may disable sending and receiving. Otherwise an account is deleted only at the holder's request or when required by Swedish law.
Neir is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent Swedish and EU law allow, Neir is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or opportunities. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.
These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts, except where mandatory consumer-protection law lets you bring proceedings in your own country of residence.
Material changes appear here with a new update date. Continuing to use Neir after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
